kamu sih enak. posisi tinggi, pasti gajinya gede. masih lajang. duit buat disi sendiri. mo pengin apa tinggal beli. bla bla bla yadda yadda yadda. ngga harus ngurus anak. ngga musti ribet beli susu. ngurus rumah. bayar sekolah anak. belum arisan. belum ini. belum itu. coba liat aku. dari berapa tahun posisi gini-gini aja. capek aku udah.
hmmm. rumput tetangga selalu lebih hijau?

berbicara dengan beberapa rekan kerja di associate restaurant selalu memberi warna tersendiri dalam wacana menuju dewasa. kalo bicara soal pekerjaan aka karir ada yang (sepertinya) nyaman-nyaman saja berada di posisi yang sama selama bertahun-tahun, ada yang kesal karena temannya dipromosi, ada yang murka melihat beberapa juniornya melesat menjadi atasannya dan menjadi duri dalam daging.

sudah bukan rahasia orang-orang yang *marah* seperti ini seringkali menjadi penghalang langkah untuk menuju common goal. mereka selalu memandang sinis. mengganggap yang lebih muda dan jauh lebih cepat berkembang kariernya sebagai ancaman. ya kalau mereka mau dewasa menjadikan hal tersebut sebagai tantangan sehingga mereka juga bergerak untuk ikut maju. nah ini seringnya mereka jadikan alasan untuk menghalangi kesuksesan para junior. ampun deh.

udah bukan jamannya teman yang lebih lama dipromosi duluan. udah bukan jamannya hirarki secara mati. kalo bos A promosi, asistennya akan otomatis mengganti. kalo mau maju berjuang dong! jangan dipikir kami maju dengan duduk berpangku tangan. tidak sama sekali. riddles are there so that you will find your way to manage them, solve the problem, excel and be a winner! riddles are not there for you to mourn over and bitching those who excel!

hiyyah. what? you don’t want to write me a serious testimonial eh? extending this baton to me so as to make sure i blog everyday? hiyyah. but good baton it is so i may as well write — true reason being i actually don’t have anything to write this morning

reading has been my biggest passion since my early age. comics, newspapers, magazines, books, ads, to make it short things with words written in them . hmmm, now what shall i write about my own book baton? favorite books? errr …. i don’t actually have certain favorite subject, i read almost anything from books about religion, spionage, biography, crime, mafia up to lifestyle magazines. hiyyah. but mostly i read novels about unusual crime by people with serious mental disorder, high crime, mafia and things related to White House. oh c’mon start your baton

errrr total number of books that i have is 250 something and counting. 80% of them in English. not including my university text books and my detective conan comic books hihihihihi….. but now because of works and other stuff i felt my rem is decreasing since I do not read as much as I used to *i am not counting blog reading here * hah! i missed the deadline of reading several books in a week for a 5 minutes quiz in my uni years, certainly an excellent way to increase your rapid eye movement

• The Six Sigma Way, Team Fieldbook, An Implementation Guide for Process Improvement Teams,Peter S. Pande, Roland R. Cavanagh, Robert P. Neuman., great reading for newbie in six sigma. helps me a lot in my various six sigma projects.
• I am not a Crook, Art Buchwald. a compilation of columns written by humorous political columnist Art Buchwald during the presidency of Richard Nixon. actually a re-read. good books never fail to amuse me again and again.
• The Moor’s Last Sigh, Salman Rushdie. a rich indian family saga about lost love. been reading this for quite sometimes and flipping back pages still.

Five books that mean a lot to me
can i come up with a list of more than 5 books? please?

• Scarpetta’s Novels by Patricia Cornwell, to name a few Cause of Death, Black Notice, and Cruel and Unusual, etc. Her very DR. Kay Scarpetta character has been inspiring me about woman who relies entirely on her brain, a woman with strong determination.
• Omerta, Mario Puzo, all about honor, vendetta, family, love, greed, evil, money. all mixed in one. mafia.
• Saman, Ayu Utami. a real eye opener. her forthrightness in discussing many dimensions in life especially in religion and faith fascinates me.
• Nancy Reagan : The Unauthorized Biography, Kitty Kelley. Just how remarkable this former First Lady of USA. a little woman with strong will. yeah women rock!

and many books by Michael Crichton, Tom Clancy, John Grisham, Nelson DeMille, Fira Basuki, Djenar Mahesa Ayu whoaaa i love reading!

if I ever need or have to make a list of type of people to be put in a death row hihihi hyperbole, worry not, i am just not sure what to do with these kinds of people :

• those who love making film review while the movie is still there right in front of them on the screen *aaaarrrrgggg*
• taxi drivers who keep talking while i am trying to get some quite moment with myself *don’t you know that silence is golden?*
• fellow passengers in public transportation who act like the owners of the vehicle *move your b*** will ya?*
• those who keep answering their mobile phones while in meetings, in cinema, while driving *hell yeah, i know the world will not survive without your telling it to rotate*
• those who chew their food and produce funny sound *oh my, i know it’s yummy, but you don’t have to tell me that way*
• those using toothpicks without bothering to cover the mouth while doing the exercise

i can come up with a very long list really, but what is in it for me? rather than making me sounding like a complainer, which I can assure you I am not

kenapa sih satu tambah satu itu dua?

ponakan saya seringkali muncul dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang membuat kami merasa bodoh. tidak tahu musti menjawab apa atau bagaimana. gawatnya just like an elephant always remembers, this cute three years old girl juga selalu ingat. dan selalu tau bagaimana dan waktu yang tepat untuk menggunakan jawaban-jawaban yang pernah kami berikan untuk menjawab pertanyaan, perintah dan larangan kami kepadanya. my oh my.
